I use my belts like everyone else, I feed it through the loops and then the buckle, pull to tighten, lock in to place through the hole, and then feed the belt the rest of the way.

Whether I pay $10 or $30 for a belt, I generally wear them out in 6-9 months, and after a year I have to retire them because they look ragged. The leather is all broken up, creased where it folds over and over again. Plus my waist size can shrink or grow 2" in a year which means using different holes and such.
