It's not AWD and it's not higher than the Jetta. The EX and EX-L models are loaded and it should be easy to find a certified model at your price. The lowest trim level new is $16k. The Honda HR-V is built on the Fit and they just charge a few k more for.

This is the car I put my MIL when she could no longer afford her Kia.
