Losing a pet is tough. With the beagle a few years back we gave him a week and spoiled the hell out of him before putting him down. He had cancer in his lower jaw on the left side that just couldn't be treated. I mean they could have removed it but the Vet was really against that given his age and quality of life issues for recovery and post recovery.
It was tough and devastating. You have my sympathy. :(
